NEW FOR 2026 - Patrol Rifle Instructor is a stand alone, Instructor level course to certify officers to conduct training and qualifications with the patrol rifle.  The course will thoroughly cover all aspects of managing and implementing an agency patrol rifle program.  Instruction will cover the following topics:  Program administration, rifle selection, set up, optics & accessories, basic maintenance & cleaning, transportation & storage, ammunition selection, ballistics demonstration, deployment considerations, zeroing, 80/20 training split, presentations, positional shooting, movement, use of cover/concealment, reloads, malfunction clearances, auxiliary skills,  low light set-up & considerations, training development, documentation and case law.  Prospective instructors will be required to pass a handling evaluation, qualification, and evaluated drill presentation.  Certification will be valid for a period of five years with the ability to recertify utilizing a con-ed/con-engagement credit system identical to our LEFI program.
